hope is one!

Another one of my ‘The First Year’ clients has turned one!  For this session, I went to Hope’s home- I hadn’t been doing many in-home sessions because of my studio space, but since the move have been doing more & more in-home sessions.  They’re even more fun than being in the studio, in my opinion.  I especially loved seeing prints displayed throughout their home, featuring photos from when Hope was in her momma’s belly, a newborn & at 6 months!

Hope’s mom was photographed at one year old in this tiny little rocking chair.  For Hope’s session, she wanted to use this chair and add in fun red balloons, perfectly coordinated with Hope’s red chuck taylors [ohhh, seriously, too cute].

Hope didn’t want to stay in one place… she’s a quick one!  Crawling at full speed, but I’m sure it’ll turn into full-fledged running any day now.  Get ready, mom & dad!

One of the reasons I was so happy to be able to photograph Hope at her house was because I hadn’t seen her old brother, Vern, in a year!  He made quite the impression at the maternity session and I wanted to hear how he was adjusting to life as a big brother.

I know Hope isn’t her typical smiley self in this next photo, but something about their matching expressions & tilted heads just cracks me up… I love it!

To wrap up the session, Hope wanted to show off her beautiful nursery.  She loves it!  All smiles in her crib!

Hope, I’ve absolutely loved watching you grow up over the last year.  Your personality & smile are infectious and something I ‘hope’ you’ll hold onto the rest of your life!
